Rugby 101, which is offered twice a year (spring and summer) and is a great way to learn the basics.
-
You’ll receive our registration packets which includes the player code of conduct, bylaws, waivers, instructions on how to register with USA Rugby, our Discord community guidelines and invitation.
-
Our club’s mission is to embody the word ‘inclusive’ by welcoming players regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, race, religion, age, or physical ability.
-
Rugby is a contact-sport and there are risks associated like any other similar sport. While contact in rugby is vigorous, it is much less dangerous than in American football as in rugby there is no blocking, no rigid protective equipment used, and there are stringent rules on tackling.
We have a medic on our team during practice, and a medic is provided by the home team at every game.
-
Discord is our main communication channel with our members. Active members will be invited to join our team channel after registration.
You may download the phone app from the App Store.

Gear List:
Mouthguard, don’t get one with a helmet strap.
Rugby cleats, soccer cleats are acceptable. Check in with us regarding football cleats. You can usually find nice cleats for a great price at Ross Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls.
Rugby shorts and jerseys to practice in (they hold up better than traditional athletic wear). We often bind on clothing and t-shirts tear easily.
Knee-high socks (forest or dark green) for protection against blisters and to match our team jerseys.

Absolutely! Anyone is welcome to come to our practices to watch and check us out. The coaching staff and tenured players will determine what drills you should participate in based on experience.
Our hope is that our practices inspire you to join the team as a playing or social member, or be a supportive squad member cheering us on!
-
We understand that life happens! If you will be late to practice, may or may not miss practice, let us know by completing our attendance form on Discord. All active members will be invited to Discord after registration.

Your annual dues enable us to host our visiting teams during home matches, provide transportation for away matches, run practices and events, host events for our players and members, and keep the team running in a number of other ways. Dues also cover player registration at IGR Tournaments including Bingham, NorAm and Rucktacular.
-
You can pay your dues on our info page.

Players who need assistance may email our team Treasurer for a scholarship.

You’ll often hear us asking if you are CIPP’d. This is the Club and Individual Participation Program (CIPP) through USA Rugby and all playing members are required to register. Supplemental insurance is provided, and registration is mandatory to play in any sanctioned game. The cost is approximately $83 and is not included in your dues. You may wait to register if you’re not ready the play.

We recognize that not everybody can join us on the pitch. Our club has great social members who cheer the players on from the sidelines and join us at post-match social events who are valuable members of the club. By being a social member, you are entitled to vote in annual elections to impact the direction of the club, gain access to the members-only Facebook/Discord group, be invited to members-only social functions, join us for practices, and more!
To learn more about playing members vs. social members, review our bylaws, section 7 Membership Classes.
Social members: $60 per season.
