Being a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, volunteering is a key to the club’s long-term survival. By volunteering at events, it allows the club to continue to pay for pitches, equipment, officials, insurance, match fees, as well as off-setting costs for travel for the team. As a member of the Portland Lumberjacks, there is an expectation of volunteering a minimum of three (3) hours per fall season, and three (3) hours per spring season, as well as assisting at Pride.

Volunteering isn’t limited to just fundraising events, as there are numerous volunteering opportunities to support the club, including (but not limited to): lining pitches, match-day field set-up, washing uniforms, assisting the Board (or committees) with special projects, and many more areas.
